This Sunday, like many others, I made carnitas for brunch. After, I headed over to Champs de Mars for the women’s and men’s finals in the Homeless World Cup. In both cases, Mexico placed 2nd (congrats Kenya and Scotland!).

I often get emotional during sporting events (I tear up cheering for strangers at marathons) and in talking to the women’s coaches, I really felt for them. The team did nothing but train all week in hopes of taking the title. I hope they do in 2012, when the tournament will be held in Mexico City!
